Real-time patient monitoring ecosystem for a Swedish clinic
The client needed a platform to connect doctors and patients, collect ongoing health data, and enable personalized treatment planning. The goal was to move beyond fragmented checkups and manual data tracking toward a continuous care system.
Starting with only a concept, without formal requirements or design, we architected and built the full telemedicine system: a Ruby on Rails healthcare backend, an admin panel, and a React Native patient monitoring app. The mobile app became the primary channel for direct communication with doctors, health monitoring, and data submission.
On the backend, we implemented a scalable Ruby on Rails architecture powered by PostgreSQL and Redis. It centralizes medical data and provides doctors with real‑time health status updates and automated alerts. The entire solution was built with strict compliance to healthcare data protection standards.
For the admin panel, we used Hotwire and ActiveAdmin. The interface gives doctors and administrators full control over patient monitoring, team communication, and daily clinic operations. RSpec ensures reliability of core medical workflows.
