Initially, GoWashMyCar, the UK’s largest car wash specialists, reached us. They had an idea for an app that allows customers to order a car wash anywhere in London via smartphone.
With an app, customers select where and when their car wash takes place to suit their schedule. They don’t even have to be present while the job is being done.

Rubyroid Labs developers worked with a GoWashMyCar marketing team that prepared requirements for the app features.
The app includes a simple booking process that involves setting the location, fixing the date and time slot via the app calendar, picking the level of wash required, and selecting additional services. For example, the car owner may add a body wax or request an eco-friendly water-minimising clean before confirming the booking.
As soon as the app was released, Volvo collaborated with GoWashMyCar to adapt it to their brand.
For Volvo, we added a feature that lets car owners unlock their car remotely when informed that the operator has arrived and then lock it when the work is completed.

The GoWashMyCar app quickly gained popularity and received capital from the Volvo company to advance the app. It allowed Volvo to integrate their Volvo On Call to make their customers’ lives easier.
