Rubyroid Labs has under its belt plenty great projects. Some of them are great not only by their design or functionality, but also by the mission they are spreading. This time we will tell you about the charity project we have worked for. It is called Charty and it helps other people do a good thing by purchasing meeting with celebrities.

About Project:

The idea behind Charty project is pretty simple: celebrities, who want to take part in a charity project post themselves as an auction lot. Those, who want to meet them, place bids in real money. The winner receives a meeting with the celebrity he wants. But the real winner are those in need, who receive the funds from the auction as a donation.

Charty offers a great way to both have fun and do something good. We, in Rubyroid Labs, loved working on this project. Since it was a great chance for us not only create a new website, but also to make this world a bit better place. Charty has a handy auction functionality, account info, statistics, flexible search and history as well as a bunch of listings.

What Technologies Were Used?

The technologies we used to develop it are as follows:

  • Auto-Deployments
  • Internationalization
  • MySQL
  • JQuery
  • Ruby on Rails

Sure, we used Ruby on Rails for this project.

This let us deliver the project within a short period of time and make it very flexible and quick.

Now let’s have a look at the main features of the product.

1. Celebrity Lot View

2. Auction Rating
