Scalable MVP for foster care case management

The client provides a secure, cloud-based Case Management Solution that helps agencies support foster families and manage the adoption process. They came to us with an outdated, overly complex codebase and a need to move forward with product development. We helped them redesign the system by improving the architecture, refactoring critical parts of the code, and delivering new functionality.

Using Ruby on Rails for both backend and frontend, we refactored the core modules to improve code readability, performance, and scalability. In the first sprint, we launched an updated Social Worker module, which allowed for better monitoring of foster families. We then implemented the Foster Children module, enabling agencies to create detailed profiles and track the status of children in care. The system now includes separate portals for supervisors, social workers, and children.
