Users can post for free, subscribe, search for relatives by donor numbers, and connect. It also offers educational resources, support, and donor conception research.

The platform was struggling to convert free users into paid members, and this led to a steady decline in subscriptions. While visitors engaged with the site and made free posts, they didn’t take the next step to join the donor sibling community with a paid membership. On top of that, there were numerous complaints about difficulties with website navigation.

UI/UX analysis
We performed a UI/UX audit to identify the main issues with the website. Through a detailed analysis in Google Analytics, we uncovered pain points where users had the most difficulties. Both desktop and mobile versions of the website needed improvements.
The challenges involved lengthy text, unclear guidance on membership registration, and an outdated user interface design. We thoroughly analyzed the details and the client’s needs to offer our solutions.

sign-up page optimization
Purchasing a membership required users to complete a lengthy sign-up process with numerous fields, which our UI/UX analysis revealed as a key drop-off point for many visitors.
Our designer created a dedicated membership section and placed it on the most visited pages of the website. We also restructured the sign-up page and simplified the registration process, allowing users to complete some fields until after signing up.

landing page layout restructuring
The most visited pages contained long blocks of text difficult to read. This issue was even more critical on the mobile version of the website, where the small screen size made navigation too complicated.
We redesigned the content presentation and restructured the layout to enhance readability and visual appeal, emphasizing key details for better user engagement.

UI design and navigation improvement
The site navigation was confusing and ineffective for both guests and authorized users. It was challenging to find the necessary information due to poor content structure. The design was also outdated and needed a more modern look.
Our UI/UX designer rebuilt key navigation elements, refreshed the design colors, and improved layout for the most visited pages from a UX perspective.

The communication between the client and our team was organized as follows: daily brief meetings between the project manager and the designer, and collaborative meetings involving the project manager, designer, and client after the completion of each section's redesign.

Our new design concept tackled the issue of user abandonment caused by outdated and confusing page layouts. We implemented improvements designed to increase the number of subscriptions from new users and reduce the bounce rate.
The client expressed satisfaction with the results and requested our developers to implement the new design. The project is currently in the development phase.
